Within a few weeks a General Contractor will be selected for the build out of Stinson, Morrison, Hecker LLP‘s
(Stinson) new Centene Plaza offices. Stinson will occupy 46,500 SF of space on the tenth and eleventh floors. Stinson is one of largest law firms in the United States with more than 330 attorneys. The St. Louis office consists of 100 attorneys.
Stinson’s relationship began with Fox Architects sixteen years ago. We have supported the firm through several projects. The latest challenge – to develop a plan that would communicate a physical message balancing Stinson’s historic legacy with it’s collaborative legal / management philosophy.
To achieve this objective, Fox created a floor plan in which all major corridors are aligned with exterior views, allowing significant day light to penetrate deep into the floorspace. Sensitivity was placed on locating the Conferencing Center / Client Conversation Space in close proximity to the primary lobby / reception area. Wood veneers are a prominent feature of the space. Combining the Dark Cherry finishes with lighter toned Bamboo successfully bridges the gap between the more familiar “lawyer look” with a strong forward looking view of Stinson’s future.
LEED Principles directed much of our efforts and we are anticipating LEED Certification for Stinson’s project.
