Cardinals Rangers – Game 6 of 2011 World Series

The mere fact of just winning the tickets for Game 6 World Series in our office raffle, was a complete shock and brought a plethora of excitement into my life.  As if that wasn’t enough, I may have just witnessed THE best game in all of MLB history, and that from only 3 seats behind the Cardinal’s dugout.

It was just the standard excitement throughout the entire game until the bottom of the 9th, and then the Cardinals made up for their mistakes earlier in the game and proved to the world just why they are in this World Series.  No one could have predicted that we would have made the come back, and with 2 outs and 2 strikes, it almost seemed inevitable that the series may have just been over.  And when the Rangers dropped Freese’s fly ball, the Cards were suddenly back in it to win it.  Nothing can quite explain the excitement and suspense that took place there in Busch Stadium for the next 2 overtime innings and the beauty of Freese’s winning home run for a Cardinals 10-9 win.  It was about an hour filled with hugs, high-fives and knucks amongst strangers alike.

Now THIS is what I moved back from LA to be a part of!  I couldn’t be more proud to be from St. Louis.  I love The Cards!  I love this city!  (I love raffles!)
