John Berendzen Quoted in Post-Dispatch Article
In the Friday January 8th edition of the St Louis Post-Dispatch Fox Architects’ Partner John Berendzen is quoted on the importance of a St Louis architectural icon. The article’s topic is the revival of a prominent downtown St Louis structure. Constructed in the early 1970’s the General American Insurance Headquarters was designed by Philip Johnson. Johnson helped launch the Modernist movement of the 1950’s and he is generally recognized as one of the most significant architects of the twentieth century.
Fox Architects was selected by General American to redesign the interior of the building in the late 1980’s and earned an AIA award for the project. To read John’s comments and the entire article click on the link.
