In 2005, Monsanto Company (now Bayer) decided to construct a new data center on their Creve Coeur campus to accommodate growing global data requirements and to improve information security. Housing Monsanto’s vast computing network, the facility supports a broad variety of activities – from analyzing data collected for molecular breeding to processing a customer’s seed order information.

Technical highlights of the building include N+1 redundancy of all building systems to meet Tier 3 ANSI / TIA requirements; structural/seismic integrity (category 4 earthquake); protection from F3 tornado wind forces; multiple Ameren UE (utility) power pathways; dedicated 2250 kVA generator for additional electrical supply protection.
