While working on the InSinkErator headquarters project in Racine, Wisconsin, the team visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Wingspread.
Herbert Fisk Johnson, Jr. commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design the administration building for his company, S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. (now known as SC Johnson, A Family Company.) He loved the finished facility so much that he commissioned him again to design his new home. It was completed in 1939 and is now known as Wingspread. It was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1990.
